Join a community of readers and enjoy the best of modern Yiddish literature in English translation.

The Yiddish Book Center’s Great Jewish Books Book Club members receive four English-language books over the course of the year. Selections may include novels, memoirs, short stories, and poetry, each thoughtfully chosen by Yiddish Book Center staff from the vast treasure trove of modern Jewish literature. These works, produced throughout the great upheavals of modernity, speak to our contemporary conflicts and challenges, and to the beauty and sweetness of our traditions. Registration for the 2021 Book Club is now open. Click one of the links below to start your 2021 membership!

When you join the Book Club you will:

- Receive four English-language books at a significant discount: $78 for all four, including shipping within the USA. (International members are welcome; additional shipping charges will apply.)

- Enjoy access to reading resources: essays, reviews, author profiles, audio and video recordings, and more.

- Join members-only online video conferences.

- Participate in a private, members-only Facebook group and join in-depth discussions of the readings with other members and Yiddish Book Center staff.
